Putri Nasi Lemak (Fat-Rice)

Lately, this is the Nasi lemak that my housemate, Leonard and I were craving for...wondering if there is drug in it...we have been going to this Nasi Lemak stall in Taman Sri Putri very often...at least 2 to 3 times i week...It's slightly different from the one in Kulai...this is cheaper, bigger portion...it has "Kerisik" as topping:)

麵粉粿- "mi-hun-ke" in Hokkien

yesterday went for this famous 'mi-hun-ke' shop in JB (near to Pelangi Plaza) for dinner!

I wanted to order the dried 'mi-hun-ke', but too bad, they serve it only with soup here;p anyway, just give it a try and yes! it turned out to be quite good...hehe, thanks to my housemate, Wan Xiang and Yiying that brought me there:)

nasi lemak

nasi lemak, one of malaysian local spicy food...seems unhealthy as it contains so much fat from coconut milk...direct translation of "Nasi Lemak" = Fat Rice (Nasi = Rice and Lemak = Fat)...
i like this Nasi Lemak in Kulai, Johor...

怡保芽菜雞河粉- bean sprout chicken noodle in Ipoh

芽菜(nga-choi) beansprout
the beansprout that you can get in Ipoh is very different..it taste sweeter, it's bigger, and more crunchy:) just have to boil the beansprout with boling water, then add some seasame oil, soy sauce and chicken stock for seasoning...

白切雞(bak-chit-kai)
the chicken meat is soft..you can taste the original sweetness of chicken meat...

河粉(hor-fun) noodle..
beansrout and chicken can be served with either rice or noodle. normally, when i eat beansprout and chicken at other places, i prefer rice...but when i was in Ipoh, noodle will be my choice as the noodle in Ipoh is more chewy, so when i eat it together with beansprout...the feeling is just nice..chewy and crunchy!!!

other side dishes such as chicken kidney and meatballs soup can also play the supporting roles to this beansprout chicken noodle set....oh..i feel hungry now....

板面 - (ban mian) - chinese pasta noodle

i am not a big fan of "ban mian"...anyway, the one in a small shop in Lunas, Kedah is very delicious..the noodle itself is very chewy...

char keow teow

when u ask a Penangite what are the famous local food..char keow teow will be definitely one of the choices..this pic taken from the char keow teow at Lorong Selamat...have to line up to wait for it and self service though..(a bit expensive too..) but worth for the big prawns;p

keow teow basah...

it may look a bit weird...but believe me, it taste really good, especially when the gravy mix with prawns... can find it in Bukit Mertajam, Penang..
